From her first film role as an indignant nun, Ellen’s extensive work in commercials, voice-over, film, television and theatre has led her to play educators, bankers, shrinks, writers, socialites, about a thousand moms, and one saucy prostitute. Go figure. She credits her stage work, including 10 years of award-winning acting and directing at Echo Theatre and 2 stints in improv comedy, with preparing her for anything. Bringing intelligence, good humor and professionalism, Ellen embraces each job as an opportunity to learn and to collaborate – with anyone from Robert Altman to Sparks the Cat. Acting has been an accidental career, stumbled into sideways after Documentary and French degrees and a start in production and casting. But after 25+ rewarding years with Mary Collins, Ellen can safely say a career in law is off the table. At least in real life.
