Cora Cardona graduated from the Instituto Nacional de Bellas Artes, in Mexico City where she studied theatre.  Her mentors include Héctor Mendoza, Alejandro Jodorowsky, and Alice Wilson from Zachary Scott Theatre Center in Austin, Texas.  Cora, is married, has three daughters, and four grandchildren. She participates in acting and directorial workshops when she is invited to international theatre festivals.  She has co-written and written two full plays, among them, “Black Butterfly in Chloroform, The Life and Work of Bernardo Couto Castillo”, this play, and “Pizcas,” a monologue, which she adapted from a short story that was published by The University of Barquisimeto, Venezuela, and the Texas Commission on the Arts. She founded Teatro Dallas, a professional theatrical non-profit organization.  She was the Producer and Lead of “Frida Kahlo: A Ribbon Around a Bomb” a documentary film that had a commercial release in the USA. She has performed in films and TV series in the US and Mexico.
